This week has been unusually hard. I've reached the two month mark here and the strange feeling of dislocation I was warned about in the first few weeks seems to finally be settling down on me. The sun was here in full force this weekend, not just the half-sunshine between showers. Mick's friend Richard is visiting from New Mexico and hanging out with them the past two days was perfect medicine for the heart-sickness I felt after Poland. We picnicked and went to the international short film festival on Saturday. A few of those shorts were also really uplifting, particularly one about the unset of alopecia called Cheveu by Julien Hallard. Evidently I relate to baldness in a very unscientific way.
I haven't developed any of my rolls of film from Morocco and Poland yet because going into to town is out of the way and developing film is a financial burden. Here are some more photos of Lent and hanging out with Mick and Richard. Yes, that's a bathtub. This place gets more and more bizarre.
